The Oregon recreational marijuana laws legalize personal possession manufacture and sales of cannabis to people 21 years old or older.

One thing that makes the Oregon laws different, is the limits on how much individual can possess grow or buy. The law states adults over 21 can possess up to 8 ounces of marijuana but can grow to no more than four plants in their household. Now this is the total amount that is limited for the household.

Each adult can possess up to 1 ounce in public. Adults 21 can also give but not sell up to 1 ounce of marijuana or up to 16 ounces of marijuana products in solid form or up to 72 ounces of marijuana products in liquid form to other adults.

 Growing and retail locations have to be certified and licensed. Most recreational cannabis stores in Oregon have started off as medical cannabis stores.

Can I consume marijuana in public? , NO! it is illegal to consume marijuana in public.This includes areas accessible to the public such as transportation facilities, schools, amusement/sporting/music venues, parks, playgrounds, sidewalks. It is also illegal to smoke at indoor locations like bars, restaurants and common areas in buildings.
