Chillin’ with with our vape, winter coats and friends.

Despite the unexpected snow flurries and intermittent rain that marked this year’s Mile High 420 Festival in Denver, the spirit of celebration was undampened. Well, maybe it was a bit wet.

The 420 Fest, April 20, 2024, at Civic Center Park, this iconic event had a good turn out with the usual attendance, even with the chilly weather. Those of us who braved the elements were rewarded with a memorable day of music, cannabis camaraderie, (lots of sharing) and Colorado style cannabis culture.

The festival, renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and strong community presence, featured an impressive lineup of artists including Gucci Mane, Afroman, and Big Boi. These performers lit up the stage, their music carrying across the park and echoing against the backdrop of downtown Denver.

While the weather posed a bit of a challenge for tourists, with temperatures dipping low for April, the warmth of the festival-goers’ enthusiasm was a nice way to help.

Snow flurries and rain showers sporadically swept through the park, turning what is usually a green and bustling festival ground into a somewhat muddy affair in a few spots. However, this did little to dampen the spirits of the attendees.

Denver, usually would cancel an event at the park if the grass is wet so it does not get damaged. But, this year the flurries came when the fest was already in motion.

The event was free to the public, with an age limit of 21 and over, following recent community guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all attendees.

Despite the city’s regulations against public cannabis consumption, the familiar scents were everywhere; and sharing in a warm huddle with some new friends, was the theme of the day. Local authorities were ignoring public consumption, which was nice. This seems to differ back and forth in previous years. We had our vape full of tasty oil and we might of had a few treats before as well. You can find the best weed accessories we used for some of our trip here.

In the end, the chilly 2024 Mile High 420 Festival, showcased the resilience and unity of Denver’s cannabis community. It was a testament to the will and spirit of Denver’s cannabis enthusiasts, proving that even a little snow and rain couldn’t stop the fun at one of the city’s most cherished annual events.
