Farid Nouri, the owner and Executive Creative Director, recognized a need in Washington, DC for a venue that combined the energy of a party with the ability to socialize intimately. This insight led to the establishment of the Eighteenth Street Lounge in 1995.

Over nearly two decades, the Lounge has hosted premiere house parties, creating a legacy unparalleled in the District. Without initially realizing it, the Eighteenth Street Lounge has significantly altered the landscape of DC’s dance music culture. Since its inception, the venue has maintained its independence and unique curation.
