Ingredients:
- 1 cup of coconut oil (organic if possible)
- 1 cup of olive oil
- 1/2 cup beeswax
- 1/4 oz finely ground decarboxylated cannabis (start with ~7 grams)
- Optional: a few drops of essential oil (like lavender or eucalyptus)
Instructions:
- Decarb your cannabis:
Preheat oven to 240°F (115°C). Spread cannabis evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 30–40 minutes to activate the cannabinoids. - Infuse the oils:
In a saucepan or double boiler, combine olive oil, coconut oil, and decarbed cannabis. Simmer on low heat (not boiling) for about 1–2 hours, stirring occasionally. Don’t let it bubble. - Strain the oil:
Use a cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer to remove the plant material. Squeeze out every drop and discard the leftover herbs. - Melt in the beeswax:
In a clean saucepan, gently heat the infused oil. Add the beeswax and stir until completely melted. Add essential oils if desired. - Pour and cool:
Pour the liquid cream into small glass jars or tins. Let it cool and set completely before using.
This DIY cream is for topical use only—don’t eat it! Store in a cool, dry place and label your jars clearly.
