Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of coconut oil (organic if possible)
  • 1 cup of olive oil
  • 1/2 cup beeswax
  • 1/4 oz finely ground decarboxylated cannabis (start with ~7 grams)
  • Optional: a few drops of essential oil (like lavender or eucalyptus)

Instructions:

  1. Decarb your cannabis:
Preheat oven to 240°F (115°C). Spread cannabis evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 30–40 minutes to activate the cannabinoids.
  2. Infuse the oils:
In a saucepan or double boiler, combine olive oil, coconut oil, and decarbed cannabis. Simmer on low heat (not boiling) for about 1–2 hours, stirring occasionally. Don’t let it bubble.
  3. Strain the oil:
Use a cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer to remove the plant material. Squeeze out every drop and discard the leftover herbs.
  4. Melt in the beeswax:
In a clean saucepan, gently heat the infused oil. Add the beeswax and stir until completely melted. Add essential oils if desired.
  5. Pour and cool:
Pour the liquid cream into small glass jars or tins. Let it cool and set completely before using.

This DIY cream is for topical use only—don’t eat it! Store in a cool, dry place and label your jars clearly.
