When will adult-use marijuana be available to consumers?

Starting December 8, 2022, people will be lawfully able to hold up to 3 ounces of marijuana in the state. Nevertheless, it won’t be obtainable for purchase in a Missouri-licensed recreational dispensary until medical facility licensees alter their permits into comprehensive centers.

The department will start accepting applications from medical facility licensees to switch to a comprehensive dispensary on December 8th, 2022. As the approval process takes 60 days to complete, adult use product should be available by February 2023.

Nevertheless, it is up each individual comprehensive dispensary’s discretion when they plan to offer marijuana products for adults’ consumption.

So as of this writing there are no places to buy recreational cannabis. One of the negative caveats is you have to register and get a ‘Cultivation card’ to grow your own, and that starts Feb 6th 2023.
