Nevada is set to usher in a significant change in cannabis possession limits starting January 1st. Adults 21 and over can soon purchase up to 2.5 ounces of cannabis flower or a quarter ounce of concentrates from licensed outlets.
This move, enacted by Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo’s signing of legislation SB 277, marks a substantial increase from the current limit of one ounce of flower and one-eighth of an ounce of concentrates. The adjustment reflects Nevada’s evolving stance on cannabis since legalizing adult-use in 2016, following the earlier approval of medical cannabis in 2000.
