I do a few strange things to help my trip…

Planning a vacation? Whether you’re jetting off to a new destination or revisiting a favorite spot, a little preparation goes a long way to ensure your trip goes smoothly. If you’re gearing up to travel in the new year, here are my five go-to tips that make all the difference. Everyone has their own tricks, but these easy-to-follow tips can really elevate your trip. Check them out!

1. Easy to Access Important Documents

Losing your ID or passport can throw a major wrench into your travel plans. To avoid this headache, I have scanned some of my important documents, like driver’s license and itinerary, and email them to myself. If flying I also print my airline boarding passes. This way, if I have phone issues at the gate, and I have a few times; you’ll always have paper copies on hand to prove your flight. Trust me, this small step can be a real lifesaver.

2. Bring Extra Cash

Always carry some extra cash when you travel. It’s easy to become a target for pickpockets in an unfamiliar place, and losing your wallet can leave you stranded. Keep your wallet in your front pocket, purse zipped up, stash some emergency cash in a safe spot like your sock or a hidden pocket in your luggage. Also cash is king in dispensaries. Just be smart with how much you carry.

This way, you’ll have backup funds if your bank freezes your card or you run into any other issues. Cashier’s checks can also be a handy alternative, but can be tricky to cash some places.

3. Explore the Outskirts of Town and Adventure

Sure, the tourist hotspots are popular for a reason, but don’t forget to explore the outskirts of your destination. You’ll discover authentic local cuisine, hidden gems, and maybe even make some new friends who can offer insider tips. Did you know in N.Y.C. you can have a cannabis infused meal? Or, in Denver there are some discreet, Speak Easy like 420 clubs?

4. Avoid Overplanning

It’s tempting to pack your itinerary with activities, but one of the best travel tips for 2024 is to leave some breathing room. Overplanning can turn your vacation into a stressful race from one spot to the next. Instead, slow down and savor the moment.

Spend a leisurely afternoon at a local café, stroll through a park, or simply relax at the beach. Remember, you can always come back for the things you missed.

5. Get Out of Your Comfort Zone

Make 2024 and 2025, the years you push your boundaries! Whether it’s trying a new cuisine, learning a local dance, or attempting an adrenaline-pumping activity like bungee jumping, stepping out of your comfort zone will make your trip more memorable.

Embrace the thrill of the unknown and enjoy the stories you’ll have to share later.

Tip: For a on the go way to consume. a disposable vape is best. It’s a discreet way to enjoy; wherever you are without drawing too much attention.
